Christmas Morning
Each year we get the girls a "big gift" and several small ones. This year the girls decided they wanted new comforters, pretty pillows, and fun things for their walls. I was very happy with this because I love shopping for these things.
Kev and I caved in and let them open the comforters Christmas Eve. They were both very happy and rushed right to bed.
On Christmas morning the girls opened gifts from mom and dad, grandma Donna and Grandpa Tom, Grandpa Jim and Grandma Ann, and last but not least Santa. They received so many great gifts, I don't even know where to begin and would attempt to name them all, but I know I would forget something wonderful. I included some pics of the girls opening gifts. They were so sweet this year. They actually sat and watched each other open. In years past they just ripped things open and then looked later at eachothers things. This year they slowed down and really enjoyed their gifts, it was really nice.
Once we wrapped up opening gifts Scott,Christine and the kiddos phoned and said they were on the way to visit. We then began making Christmas breakfast. When they arrived we had breakfast, played with all the kiddos for a bit, opened up presents and then played some more. It was wonderful. I wish I had pictures, but I was busy running back and forth cooking Christmas dinner, so I was not able to get any. However Christine was able to get some great pics and has posted them on her blog.

Christmas Eve
Christmas Eve was moved to our home this year because my grandpa recently had a hospital stay so rather than invade their house, we just had everyone here. I must say I really enjoyed myself. Every room of the house (and I mean EVERY) was filled with family. Kids running everywhere, laughter and hugs filled the air.
My grandmother gives all the "little kiddos" presents. Let me tell you that is a site to see. A room full of little ones waiting patiently as you pass out everyones present. They all sit in a big circle and wait til each "cousin" has a present and then someone tells them to "GO". The next thing you know there is wrapping paper flying through the air. It is so sweet, crazy, and nuts....and I LOVE IT!!!!
The Adults do a gift exchange as well, however we do it men grouped together, and women grouped together. Everyone draws a number and then we start picking presents. Basically you DO NOT want to be number 1 because you definatly are NOT getting the gift you picked. It is basically "Rob your neighbor" the ideal situation is to get the last number. Which this year I was lUCKY enough to get. I was sooo happy because every year my grandmother puts one of her Christmas nativities in the present pile and EVERY year I have it for about a minute and someone takes it....well not this year :) Yep, I have NO Shame, I took it from my lil cousin (sorry Danielle). So I will be proudly displaying this year round. I consider it a VERY valuable item, one that my grandmother has had for years and I absolutly cannot put it in the attic, I just love it way to much. Kev ended up with some sort of ax thingy (it looks like a potential murder weapon). Needless to say, it has been taken to the garage for safe keeping. lol
To all of the family in Arizona, we MISS you all sooo much and hope to see you all this summer. We wish we could have spent some time with you this holiday season.

Taryn Dance recital
Taryn and her group of gals danced to Selena Gomez Winter Wonderland. They did a great job. I am so proud of how great Taryn did with her routine. It was relatively complex and she pulled it off wonderfully.
Pics of both girls together.

BUSY BUSY BUSY
OK, So I know, I have been horrible with keeping this blog updated. It just seems that at the end of the day when things are winding down, I either put the girls to bed and crash....or run out the door to work.
So I will give you a rundown of what we have been doing that has kept us so busy. Dance, Gymnastics, IMSA Fusion, Christmas programs, and a very active social life. These girls are soooo busy its nuts. I dont think I have sat down with my hubby and had some one on one time in over a month.....we have yet to have an anniversary dinner.
We also had the pleasure of going to silver dollar city with our Neighbors a couple weekends ago. We had a great time, however the girls favorite thing was the hollywood wax museum. It was pretty neat.
In the interest of time, I will throw up some pics of girls for everyone to enjoy.
Hope everyone is well. Lots of love to you all.

Pumpkin Time!!!
Pumkin Carving time!!!! As usual, Taryn did not want to get her hands dirty and ran out to the garage to get a glove, Abbi-doodle dug right in and cleaned hers all out. Only differnce this year is that I actually made Taryn clean out her pumkin herself. (lol such a mean mommy) She was sooooo angry.

Girls FIRST dance
Last night the girls had their very first dance. It was a halloween dance at the local boys and girls club. They were very excited! For those of you who dont know, Taryn is a Southern Belle this halloween and Abbi is a sparkle witch. They had big plans for fun. Taryn and a group of her friends met at one of Taryn's BFFs house had pizza and got ready together then carpooled. I dont have many pics of them because she is at the age that she would "just die" if I took pictures of them getting ready. So, I am hoping the other mommy was able to sneak some, if so I will post when I get them.
Abbi and her friends met at our house for pictures before. They were soooooo CUTE, full of giggles and lots of chatter. After the dance I picked up Abbs and her "crew" and they came back to the house to make cupcakes and play for a bit. It was so funny to listen to them chatter about what they did, boys, and other very "dramatic" things. :) After playing and having fun they went home.....except Merideth~she and Abbi had a sleepover just the two of them. They stayed up til I dont know when watching Netflix. They both slept in til 9:30 this am, which never happens when we have kiddos stay over. Usually they are up at 6am......so I'm guessing they were up very late.
Taryn came home around noon today, full of fun stories and ready to go lay in her bed and rest. Guess she had a blast also.
I just cannot believe they are big enough to go to a halloween dance......I soooo wish they would stop growing.
These are a few pics I was able to get of the kiddos at the dance, they were too excited and wouldn't hold still long enough for any more.
